SERVICE BUS PROMOTES STUDENT INVOLVEMENT IN COMMUNITY SERVICE.
Service Bus provides discounted bus service for UMD student group community service projects requiring transportation to and from service sites. Student groups are invited to apply to use Service Bus for their community service projects during fall and spring semesters.
In order for an event warrant a Service Bus, it must be a clearly defined community service program involving students. Service Bus values creating opportunity for students to engage in community service as well as the education of those participating in the service. Greater support will be granted to service projects that integrate components of service-learning into the program.
